Contemporary Eco House

A derelict 1960s detached property was demolished to make way for this stylish new build home, working closely with our clients we created a luxury house using the most modern materials and design ideas.

With zinc cladding and silicone render finish this is an exceptional new home.

Beaver House

This project is another of many such renovations that are now something of a speciality for our company.

We can take a simple, plain bungalow with limited space and create a two story four bedroom town house with en-suites and large family bathroom, with large modern living spaces.

This is achieved by removing the existing roof and adding a complete second story, clad in any finish you may desire. In this case a black composite cladding, topped with a traditional clay tile roof.

The cost of this work is often cheaper than having to relocate to a larger house and always pays for itself in terms of resale value.

Beachside Bungalow Conversion

This beach-side cottage in Emsworth, West Sussex is yet another example of what can be achieved with clever, bold design and a highly skilled team capable of implementing that design.

This was a near-derelict, rundown bungalow that we totally renovated throughout – removing the roof and adding three bedrooms with a family bathroom.

A large rear extension is now a huge kitchen/diner with light flooding in from the large roof lantern.

Outdoor Living Space with Sliding/Bi-Folding Doors

People are enjoying the outdoor life more and more and we at Hambrook Construction Services are being asked regularly to make the most of people’s outdoor spaces – it may be that just a few small improvements will transform a straightforward garden into an area of leisure and entertainment.

This average-sized family home in Emsworth was transformed into an ultra-modern designer-style property by the addition of a stunning outside living area, complete with sunken jacuzzi. The entire corner section of the ground floor was removed and new steel beams were installed to carry the upper floor. A system of German folding doors was installed so that, when open, the flow from the kitchen to the garden is seamless, giving a feel of space and outdoor luxury living.

Absolute precision and good technical knowledge is essential in this type of project to ensure all components come together perfectly – the results of the skills employed are plain to see.

Oak-Framed Extension

This is an oak-framed extension to a Grade 2 listed property in Lavant, West Sussex.

We had no access to the rear of the property so a tunnel of plywood was constructed from the front door to the rear through which all material was taken.

A temporary joiner’s workshop was created in the back garden and the structure you see was built on-site.

It is worth mentioning that the clients were able to remain in their house, in total comfort, whilst all of the building works were completed.

Roof Conversion

This small bungalow was becoming too cramped for the owners’ growing family. Unable to afford the huge cost of a larger property in the area we remodeled the property to create a spacious family home.

We removed the existing roof and built a new first floor with pitched roof and dormers. This created three good-sized bedrooms, one with en-suite and dressing room, and a large family bathroom. The lower floor was also totally renovated, with the whole building refurbished to a high standard giving extra light and space to what was a cramped, cosy construction.

All this was achieved at a fraction of the cost of moving house and when this property was recently re-valued, the added value of the new roof extension was nearly double the total cost of all the building works.

This is a great example of what clever design – and brave clients – can achieve.

Refurbishment of Dated Bungalow

This corner bungalow in a picturesque South Downs village was in need of complete transformation into a more traditional looking local cottage.

Having completely removed all of the internal walls and redesigning the space we were able to create a modern internal living area with spacious family rooms, with a country village aesthetic exterior.

The new roof with local reclaimed clay tiles helped transform this property into a beautiful home.

Elegant Edwardian Renovation

This elegant Edwardian house had been almost stripped of its original character by decades of poor quality and ill-conceived modernisation works.

Our remit from the client (one of London’s premier interior designers) was to totally gut every trace of modern works and recreate the property in all of its Edwardian splendour, including hand-turned staircase parts, traditional plaster coving and cornice, timber sash windows and handmade and painted flooring tiles. Fired earth tiles and walk-in shower rooms added a modern but sensitive touch to this beautiful property.

New England Style New Build

This recently completed New England style, five bedroom, new build house in Bosham this stunning property really speaks for itself.

This type of project requires tradesmen at the top of their game with a management structure to suit.

These developments are a true test of any serious builder’s mettle and skill.

‘Grand Design’ Eco Home

This highly innovative and visually stunning building over looks the picturesque harbor of Itchenor. A truly bespoke development, we worked intensely with the clients on a day-to-day basis to create their dream six-bedroomed family home.

A challenging build due to poor soil conditions, the foundations rest on a series of pile driven concrete columns. On top of this a complex steel structure was placed on a series of points with pinpoint accuracy. The entire structure was in-filled with a timber frame and clad with western red cedar boards and shakes. The roof is also covered with cedar shingles to create this ultra modern designer property.

This type of bespoke development is, in our opinion, a true test of a builders credentials requiring high quality tradesmen and many years of expertise.

We are extremely proud to have built this fantastic property.

Harbourside Property

This harbour side property situated in Birdham West Sussex had lain neglected for several years until it was purchased by a young couple who wished to create an ideal luxury family residence in this area of outstanding natural beauty.

The property was substantially renovated with new dormer and roof structures adding extra bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.

The most striking addition was the large indoor swimming pool annex with changing rooms, sauna and gym. The master bedroom cantilevers over the pool with a huge single pane sheet of glazing which creates a most stunning feature.

This complex work can only be undertaken by a construction company with total confidence both in itself and the large team of sub contractors required to complete this type of very high end work.

High End Garden Room

This deceivingly simple looking garden room extension is in fact a very complicated engineering marvel, with an entirely corner-less wall we created this magnificent room with an innovative steel cantilevered frame, the uninterrupted views across itchenor harbour are truly beautiful.

The client, a retired engineer demanded total millimetre perfection which we were able to provide and the results speak for themselves.
