Wintons Entrance Hall
This stunning hall was created by several of our best tradesmen.
The tiled floor is laid in individual pieces, down to the smallest square and triangle to create this intricate victorian pattern, which is a highly skilled job.
The oak stairs with cast iron balustrade are complemented by period paneling features, all created on site by our team of craftsmen.
Major Refurbishment
A first floor and rear extension were added to this property in Emsworth.
Blue Anchor
Situated on a prime water front location this art deco style house had been neglected and unloved for several years before going on the market.
The new owners had the vision to see the potential in this property and began a huge renovation project to transform the run down house into a modern high end family home, adding third floor en suite bedrooms but staying faithful to the concept of the art deco design.
Along with JBA architects Hambrook construction are proud to have been the main contractor on yet another stunning renovation project.
Sea Drive
Although in one of the most desirable locations on the South coast this beachfront 1960s era property was in a poor state of repair and very dilapidated. The new owners, working in conjunction with John Brown Architects and ourselves, have transformed this eyesore into a beautiful modern family home.
The addition of large front and rear extensions add open plan beach side living space to suit modern needs. The new brick built chimney and added brick plinth detail create a quality of finish that was lacking in the original structure.
The extensive landscaping works create a magnificent outdoor relaxation area and along with a sea view balcony we have maximised the superb location of this home.
Hacienda
Hacienda, once the summer residence of The Earl Spencer family, is a large property situated on the exclusive Aldwick bay estate.
Built in the late 1920s, the current owner required extensive alterations and extensions to create a more modern open plan living space, along with a large external entertaining area complete with heated swimming pool, dining areas, gym and a hot tub.
The internal spaces created comprise a large kitchen diner and lounge area, along with a glazed first floor balcony to give stunning views across the Aldwick bay coastline. The large en-suite bedrooms also now have great sea views thanks to the new glazed rear extensions.
This was a very technically complex project, but working in conjunction with John Brown Architectural Practice, Hambrook Construction have created this outstanding modern luxury home, whilst keeping much of the facade as close to the original design as possible.
Elegant Edwardian Renovation
This elegant Edwardian house had been almost stripped of its original character by decades of poor quality and ill-conceived modernisation works.
Our remit from the client (one of London’s premier interior designers) was to totally gut every trace of modern works and recreate the property in all of its Edwardian splendour, including hand-turned staircase parts, traditional plaster coving and cornice, timber sash windows and handmade and painted flooring tiles. Fired earth tiles and walk-in shower rooms added a modern but sensitive touch to this beautiful property.
Gamekeeper's Cottage
Situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, this property was originally an arts and crafts style gamekeeper’s cottage. Although full of character, it was dilapidated and much too small for modern family living.
Our remit was to extend the cottage to treble its original size yet maintain the integrity of its original features. Basically we built another two identical cottages side by side of the original and we would defy anyone to see the join!
We were forced to go back to building methods and techniques that are all but forgotten nowadays, using handmade bricks from a specialist brick manufacturer, local flint workers and traditional ‘old school’ joiners.
We think this project is one of our finest achievements. The complexity and attention to detail required to make this property look authentic and not a twee copy cannot be conveyed enough here.
Kings Road
This very dated 60s built home situated on the foreshore of Emsworth, was completely redesigned by a dynamic local architect to enhance the beach side location and create extensive views across Langstone Harbour to Portsmouth.
The property was completely gutted and the roof removed. A large extension with double garage was then built with a new roof with sweeping back dormer projections to create this ultra modern look. Large areas of the external walls were also removed to give those outstanding views of the harbour. The window and sliding door package are a high end German specification, coated in a unique colour chosen by the customer, the look is completed with a render finish and a seamless glass balustrade to the balcony.
A truly striking refurbishment with innovative architecture and forward thinking client.
Harbourside Property
This harbour side property situated in Birdham West Sussex had lain neglected for several years until it was purchased by a young couple who wished to create an ideal luxury family residence in this area of outstanding natural beauty.
The property was substantially renovated with new dormer and roof structures adding extra bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.
The most striking addition was the large indoor swimming pool annex with changing rooms, sauna and gym. The master bedroom cantilevers over the pool with a huge single pane sheet of glazing which creates a most stunning feature.
This complex work can only be undertaken by a construction company with total confidence both in itself and the large team of sub contractors required to complete this type of very high end work.
